Vegeta landed behind Android 20. Android 20 turned around and said to Vegeta, “You’re a bit stronger than I anticipated, but it is nothing I cannot handle. Defeat is eminent.”
Vegeta powered down from super saiyan, chuckling. “Yes, your friend managed to steal quite a bit of energy from me before I stopped him,” he said, “Now it’s your chance to beat me. A vicious attack now could be sufficient. Let me ask you this: what makes you think that you’re going to do any better than him? You’re an android too. I bet your head rolls just as well as his does.”
“Fool!” said Android 20, “I am far superior to the android 19 model! Stamping you out of existence is a trifle for a human like me!”
“You’re bluffing, friend,” said Vegeta, “Let me see what you got.”
Android 20 then quickly flew up and flew away.
“Oh man!” exclaimed Krillin, “There he goes! Wow! He’s running!”
Vegeta looked back at Krillin and said, “Hey, baldy! Hurry! Throw me one of those beans!” When Krillin showed reluctance, Vegeta said, “Listen, you idiot! He’s going to get away!”
“Krillin!” said Piccolo, “Do it!”
Krillin threw Vegeta a bean. He ate it then powered back up to super saiyan. “I appreciate the assistance!” he said, “But you’re not needed here anymore! You should go home where it’s safe! You’ll only get in my way!” He then flew off after the android, surprising them all.
“What the hell?” said Diego, becoming irritated.
“Well good riddance!” said Krillin, “Man that guy is the biggest jerk!”
“I have to agree with you,” said Piccolo, “But he’s a genius when it comes to fighting. Vegeta was weakened by the other android. He was vulnerable, so he bluffed and acted like he was eager to fight the next one. That android could’ve defeated Vegeta if he had caught the bluff and attacked, but Vegeta was too convincing. Mentally, he’s impossible to beat, he thinks of every conceivable advantages and physically he’s reached a new plateau. I’ve never seen a power quite like his before. It’s radical. Just amazing!”
“Wow!” said Gohan, “Do you think Vegeta’s even stronger than my dad now?”
“There’s a good chance, yes,” said Piccolo, “I think so.”
“I say we go find them!” said Tien, “Vegeta may be stronger than us, but that doesn’t make him my boss!”
“Yeah!” said Krillin, “Mine either!”
“We have just as much at stake!” said Gohan, “We can’t just take off right now! There’s no way!”
“I agree!” said Truce.
“Yeah!” said Diego, “We trained way too hard for this day! I’m not going home now!”
“Says the boy who had to go meet his friends before showing-“
“Shut up, Truce!”
“Both of you shut up!” said Piccolo, “I agree he may need our help, but no jumping in unless I say! I need to get you guys back to Goku in one piece! Vegeta is probably looking for him in the mountains as we speak, but he’s going to be hard to find since we can’t sense his energy level. So spread out, lay low, and find that tin can! If you spot him, call it out!”
They all agreed and flew off in the direction Vegeta and the android had flown.
Moments later they were all looking for Android 20 in the mountains not far from where they were. Diego was keeping his distance from Truce. Suddenly Vegeta was up in the air and threw an energy ball down toward the mountains out of frustration with not finding the android. However, Android 20 came out and absorbed the energy ball into his hands. Then as Vegeta went after him, he ran away again and again Android 20 could not be found.
Diego flew to Vegeta and said, “Good going, father.”
Vegeta looked at Diego and said, “Shut up and search for that damn android, boy!”
Diego rolled his eyes and proceeded to go back to searching.
Moments later someone’s energy was draining quickly. Diego, Truce, Tien, Krillin, and Vegeta flew to check out what was happening to find that Android 20 had attacked Piccolo with his energy absorbing ability, but Gohan had saved Piccolo by knocking the android away.
When Android 20 saw that the others had arrived he said, “So, the whole gang is here. No matter! I have gathered enough energy to destroy all of you!”
Vegeta grinned and said, “Get over yourself!”
“KRILLIN!” yelled Gohan, “PICCOLO NEEDS A SENSU BEAN! QUICK!”
Krillin threw Piccolo a sensu bean and Piccolo caught it and ate it, regaining his strength. Piccolo then thanked Krillin.
“Well,” said Vegeta to Android 20, “Shall we start where we left off? If I recall, we were about to fight when you ran away!”
Piccolo then flew down behind Android 20. He discarded his white cape and turban and said, “Stay out of this one, Vegeta. I owe him. He’s mine! If he manages to get by me then he’s all yours, how does that grab you?”
“I don’t care if you want to fight him,” said Vegeta, “I don’t even care if you get yourself killed! But I do care if he manages to steal more of your energy and makes himself even stronger! So just keep that in mind while you’re having your little fun, got it?”
“Yeah, I got it. I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Android 20 faced Piccolo and suddenly Piccolo quickly locked Android 20 in to the side of a mountain. Android 20 picked himself up and flew toward Piccolo. Piccolo dodged his attack and knocked him down to the ground. Android 20 went at Piccolo again and again, still with the same results.
Android 20 then went to grab Piccolo to steal energy from him again; however Piccolo prevented him from doing so by grabbing Android 20’s wrist. He then broke the android’s arm off and said, “It’s a darn shame, you could’ve put this arm to good use. What a waste of technology!” He then dropped the arm to the ground.
“Alright!” exclaimed Gohan, “History has changed! We are going to make it through this without losing anyone!”
“Awesome!” Diego said beside Gohan, grinning.
“Yes!” said Gohan.
Piccolo then threw an energy ball at Android 20, causing a lot of debris and dust to fly around from its impact. It didn’t hit the android. Android 20 climbed from the hole it made and said, “I don’t understand! My data indicates that their abilities could not have improved this much!”
“You data probably would have been accurate if we hadn’t been warned about your arrival three years before you got here!” said Piccolo, “In other words, we knew you were coming so we got all of our ducks in a row.”
“Ducks?” said Android 20, “That makes no sense! What do you mean?”
“I mean that we’ve been preparing for you, my friend.”
“Yeah!” said Krillin, “Thank goodness for that! Dying is such a bummer.”
“I bet,” said Gohan.
When Piccolo was about to attack Android 20 and finish him they all suddenly felt an energy of someone flying right toward them.
“Over there!” exclaimed Krillin, looking toward the person coming into view.
“Yeah!” said Gohan, “But who?”
The mystery person stopped beside Vegeta. It was the youth from the future.
“Trunks is back!” exclaimed Piccolo.
“Trunks?” said Diego, confused.
Vegeta had a shocked look on his face upon realization of who the youth was: his youngest son from the future.
“No way,” said Truce.
“Yeah even though I’ve never seen him before,” said Trunks, “I can tell that he is one of Dr. Gero’s creations…”
“Say what?” said Vegeta, “What do you mean you haven’t seen him before? Isn’t he one of the androids you warned us about?”
“No, this one’s different,” said Trunks.
“What?” said Piccolo, shocked, “How could he be different?”
“I’m not sure,” said Trunks.
“No!” said Vegeta, “Nonsense! If that’s not the android you warned us about, then who is it?”
“Hey, Vegeta,” said Krillin, “Cut the kid a little slack, would ya? So a few of the stuff he told us changed! Maybe this did too! We found two androids, just like he said we would. Does it really matter that they don’t look the same?”
“I hope you’re right,” said Tien.
Suddenly an air craft appeared above them.
“Hey, guys, look!” said Krillin, “It’s Bulma and Yajirobi!”
“What the hell!” exclaimed Diego, “What are they here? It’s dangerous for Trunks…” He then looked back at his brother from the future. My brother…
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Trunks yelled to Bulma in the aircraft, “DON’T COME DOWN HERE!”
As the others were distracted by the aircraft’s arrival, Android 20 said, “Enjoy the short lived victory while you are able! For soon I will release Androids 17 and 18 to destroy you all!”
“17?” said Piccolo.
“And 18?” said Vegeta.
This news shocked them all and then Android 20 let loose a lot of ki blasts. Trunks and Diego had managed to save Bulma and baby Trunks and Yajirobi.
“Impossible!” exclaimed Vegeta, “The android vanished!”
