As Truce was walking around the palace, she saw a glimpse of King Vegeta, Vegeta, and Diego, following Ashen to the throne room. “Why are they here?” she muttered.
The guards to the throne room opened the doors to allow Ashen, King Vegeta, Vegeta, and Diego inside. Three chairs were seated beside three throne chairs. Ashen sat in a throne and King Vegeta sat in a chair beside him. Diego sat in a chair between King Vegeta and Vegeta.
“Finally this day has arrived,” said Ashen, “So how was your trip here?”
“Pleasant,” said King Vegeta.
“My sisters should be in here shortly,” said Ashen, “You know women, always have to get all dressy and such.”
King Vegeta chuckled. “This should be a surprise for them,” he said.
“A surprise?” said Diego, still unsure what was going on.
\ Ashen smiled at Diego and said, “You don’t know why you’re here, Diego?”
“He has no clue,” said King Vegeta.
“Enough,” said Vegeta, “Even I don’t understand what you two are up to.”
Ashen looked at King Vegeta and said, “Should we tell him now or wait until the girls get here?”
King Vegeta thought for a second and said, “He can wait a little longer.”
Ashen laughed and said, “Okay.”
A few moments passed and then the throne doors opened as the guard announced, “Princess Ashney and Princess Nicole have entered the throne room!”
Ashney and Nicole, followed by Chiaki, entered the throne room. Nicole sat beside Ashen on the throne next to his and Ashney sat on the other side of her. Chiaki stood off to the side of the throne and faced away from them.
Nicole and Ashney were both confused that the saiyans were there.
“Hello, Princesses,” said King Vegeta, “Both of you look lovely today. Princess Nicole, it’s nice to see you this way than a servant boy Dimitri.” He then laughed.
Nicole was too shocked to respond to him. She looked at Ashen and said, “Did I miss something?”
Ashen smiled at Nicole and said, “Are you surprised? Meet your future husband, Nicole!”
Nicole couldn’t comprehend what was going on. She just sat in shocked silence.
King Vegeta laughed and looked at Diego who looked just as surprised as Nicole.
“Wait,” said Vegeta, amazed, “This whole time they were betrothed to each other?”
“Well,” said Ashen, “If we had told them, we would have never seen this reaction we are seeing now.” He then laughed.
“Wait,” said Diego to King Vegeta, “This is really who I am to marry?”
“Of course,” said King Vegeta, “You two almost screwed it up.”
“Damn,” muttered Diego, looking to the floor.
Even though Nicole was still shocked, she was relieved at the fact that it was Diego who she was marrying and not King Vegeta or anyone else.
“Now let’s get down to business so we don’t have to sit here all day,” said Ashen.
“Of course,” said King Vegeta, “The terms of agreements to go along with the marriage.”
Diego looked at King Vegeta and said, “Agreements?”
“Yes,” said King Vegeta, “We are rival nations, after all. This ensures peace between Planet Gastavia and Planet Vegeta. You two must agree to them or no marriage will happen.”
Of course there’s a catch, thought Diego.
“Planet Gastavia has no requirements other than absolutely no war between our nations,” said Ashen, “However, I’m sure, King Vegeta, you have more to go along with that.”
“That I do,” said King Vegeta, “Firstly, though Princess Nicole will be queen here, she will not be addressed as such on Planet Vegeta, for obvious reasons. It’ll be confusing as Diego is still prince there and will remain so until the throne is passed down to him. Therefore, Princess Nicole will not rule the saiyans. Second, there will absolutely be no offspring allowed between these two.”
All in the throne room were shocked at that last sentence.
“King Vegeta,” said Ashen, “Isn’t that a bit much to ask of these two?”
“I think it’s a simple request to require such measures to be taken,” said King Vegeta, “The saiyans will never accept to be ruled by a Gastavian.”
Nicole was in her own silent hell, listening. But she took the horse by the reins and said, “We accept your terms.”
Ashen looked at Nicole, shocked. Diego was shocked as well as he was about to contest King Vegeta.
“Smart move, Princess,” said King Vegeta, “It seems you are ready for your role as queen here at last.”
Nicole glared at King Vegeta, hating him with every fiber of her being.
“Okay,” said Ashen. He then looked at King Vegeta and said, “Shall we go get this contract written up?”
“Of course,” said King Vegeta.
Ashen and King Vegeta then left the throne room.
All in the throne room sat in silence for a minute or two. Then Nicole said, “I’m gonna kill Ashen.
Ashney laughed and said, “He could have told you so before you ran off as a boy!”
At that even Diego laughed.
Vegeta grinned and said, “Well this is a relief for us all then.”
“Yeah,” said Diego. He then looked at Nicole and smiled. She looked back at Diego and smiled as well.
