Diego’s Story: Chapter 10

And so content they were, Diego and Nicole. Months passed by, even a year, and during that time they would call each other and text, at the same time not letting anybody know their true feelings for each other. Finally the day came of which Nicole would be visiting Capsule Corp. again.

That afternoon Gohan was at Capsule Corp. hanging out with Diego. They were sitting out on the patio, watching Diego Jr. play.

“Sometimes I feel I’m getting old,” said Diego.

Gohan laughed and said, “How come?”

“Junior will be starting school soon, where has the time gone?”

“Wow! That’s awesome! Don’t feel old though. If you feel old, I will too.”

            Diego laughed.

“By the way, Diego,” said Gohan, “You seem pretty cheerful today for you.”

“I am very happy today,” said Diego, “Nicole’s coming to visit again.”

“Really? When will she be here? I didn’t get to see her much last time.”

            “Anytime.”

As if on cue, the patio door opened and Bulma came out, followed by Nicole and Chiaki. When Nicole saw Diego, her face lit up. “Diego! Gohan!” she said, marching over to her two friends happily. She quickly hugged Gohan first and then turned toward Diego.

Diego blushed a little when he saw that they had to hug. He wanted more than that.

Nicole hugged Diego. Diego reciprocated the hug, but embraced her tighter and breathed in her scent.

“It’s nice to have you back,” he whispered.

“It’s nice to be back,” she said, reluctantly getting out of the hug.

“It’s nice to see you two on better terms this time,” said Bulma, grinning.

            Both Diego and Nicole blushed.

“Well I’m going to go order pizza for dinner tonight!” said Bulma, going back inside.

Chiaki stayed where he was. Inside was a burning rage building against Diego. He didn’t like the way he had embraced Nicole.

Diego grinned at Chiaki and said, “Chiaki, long time, no see! How are you?”

Chiaki didn’t smile at Diego, but said, “Alright. How about you?”

            “Better now,” said Diego.

“Why don’t we all sit down or something?” said Nicole, noticing Chiaki’s murderous expression.

Later, Chiaki and Nicole were unloading Nicole’s luggage in the guest room she always stayed in. She was deep in thought about the feel of Diego’s embrace and blushed every time she thought about him whispering to her.

Chiaki groaned noticing Nicole spacing out. “Princess,” said Chiaki, “What are you thinking about? Please don’t tell me it’s about the saiyan.”

Nicole shook her head to snap back to her senses. “Sorry, Chiaki. I got distracted. It’s great to be back here, isn’t it? Taking a break from palace life is awesome!”

            “Princess-.”

“Please, Chiaki. Just call me by my name.”

“Nicole,” Chiaki sighed, “I wish you would be more careful around him. The counsel-.”

“Chiaki, can we not talk about the counsel here?”

            “But-.”

“Chiaki, don’t worry about it, okay? I know my limitations.”

“I’m not so sure about that,” Chiaki muttered under his breath.

            “What?”

“Nothing. If you don’t mind, I’m going to go unload my luggage in my room, your highness.” Chiaki then left the room, leaving Nicole with a stunned expression on her face.

Not too much longer later Diego sneaked into Nicole’s room through the window and locked her door, so to not have any interruptions.

“Diego!” Nicole gasped as she walked out of her bathroom.

“Shh!” Diego said, motioning he didn’t want Chiaki to know.

Nicole was nervous about the fact that it was just her and Diego in the room, alone.

Diego grinned and then crossed the room in one sweeping motion to Nicole.

“Why are you here?” Nicole whispered.

“I couldn’t wait to see you again,” Diego whispered.

Nicole looked up into Diego’s eyes, a hint of panic in hers.

Diego noticed the look in Nicole’s eyes and said, “Are you scared?”

            “No!” Nicole gasped out.

“Oh?” He then pushed Nicole against the wall and pinned her. “Are you scared now?” Diego leaned in and whispered in her ear.

Nicole’s heart was racing, but still she shook her head and said, “No.”

Diego then kissed Nicole’s lips. Nicole’s eyes widened in shock and felt her knees go weak a little. The kiss was short. “I’ve longed to do that for a while,” he breathed on her lips.

Nicole was having a hard time getting her brain to register what was happening, it was all happening so quickly.

Diego started kissing her again, harder this time. Nicole tried to kiss him back, but couldn’t keep up as she was still in a state of shock. She didn’t know what to do and Diego’s hands started to explore various parts of her body, rubbing her back, her arms, and her abdomen. The he put one hand behind her back and the other hand went under her shirt. He then went from kissing her lips to her neck. Nicole tried not to moan out as it felt so good to her. Then slowly her senses came back as Diego’s hand went up her shirt. She quickly grabbed Diego’s arm to stop him.

“No,” she gasped out, out of breath, “We can’t, Diego.”

Diego stood up straight, somewhat disappointed. Nicole was alarmed to see his eyes were no longer blue, but black. “Why?” he whispered.

“Your eyes, Diego,” she whispered, “What?”

Diego blinked, to come back to his senses, and slowly the blue returned. “I’m sorry,” he said, “I lost control a little. But why would you stop me like that? It was just getting good.”

“Diego,” Nicole said, her voice shaking, “I’m the future queen of my people. I have to remain chaste until I’m married to the king. If I’m not, it could jeopardize the whole nation.”

“I guess you don’t consider me your future king,” said Diego, growing more disappointed, “Is that it?”

            “Diego…”

“Don’t answer that. I’ll see you in a little while.” He then left Nicole and climbed out her window and jumped down to the yard below.

Nicole was still breathless. She slid down the wall to the floor. She held the tears back that formed in her eyes.
