Diego’s Story: Chapter 20

****MATURE READERS ONLY PLEASE****

Days passed on Planet Vegeta. Nicole had hard days as a servant. Not only was Nicole doing special servant stuff for Diego, she was also attending jobs that the other servants did as well, including cooking, some cleaning, and laundry. Every night she returned back to Diego’s room where she would take a shower and then pass out right away on his bed. Diego decided it was best for Nicole to keep staying with him than the other servant chambers, less of a chance for her to be found out who she really was. Whenever he returned to his room at night, he would find her already asleep and felt guilty from all the work she was doing and how exhausted she was.

One night Diego took a shower and lay beside Nicole, who seemed to be already fast asleep. He studied her face and reached out to touch her hair. It was still so short. He missed her long hair. To his surprise, Nicole cuddled up next to him.

            “You’re still awake?” asked Diego.

“Yeah,” whispered Nicole. She opened her eyes and locked eyes with him, which almost took his breath away.

“Something on your mind?” asked Diego.

“All the time,” said Nicole. She grabbed his hand off her hair and looked at it as she studied it. “Diego,” she said, “You asked me why did I come here of all places when I ran away.”

            “Yeah?”

“When Ashen told me I was to marry a complete stranger…I couldn’t accept it. Maybe I could have at one point in my learning, but…I couldn’t. I knew for me…there was only one person in the whole universe I could be with.”

            Diego stayed quiet.

“When I ran away,” Nicole continued, “I ran away to that person. For that moment and time, I became a selfish person. I didn’t think of consequences of my actions…I just knew.” She looked at Diego, “I had to be with you. No one else. Just you.”

            “Nicole.” Diego was almost speechless.

“I have been very selfish though,” Nicole continued, “Even to you.”

            “What do you mean?”

“Do you still want me, Diego?”

Diego was confused what Nicole was talking about.

Nicole closed her eyes and said, “I’m ready, Diego. I won’t be selfish anymore. Take me, please.”

“Take?” It then dawned on Diego what Nicole was talking about. “Nicole, I thought you said that you were saving yourself for your future husband-.”

“Diego, didn’t you hear me?” Nicole said as she took Diego’s hand and placed it on her chest, “My heart beats only for you right now. I would have no other man do this with the first time, but you.”

A tear slid down Diego’s cheek. He then quickly kissed Nicole deeply. She reciprocated the kiss. That night they explored each other’s bodies and made love for the first time. The night seemed to go on forever as they made love multiple times until they finally fell asleep.

The next morning Diego woke up. He saw Nicole was still asleep. He smiled at how content she looked, so he decided to let her continue to rest. He then got up and took a shower and left to go to the dining hall.

He was still smiling as he sat beside King Vegeta at the dining table. Vegeta, his father, looked at Diego suspiciously with how cheerful he seemed.

“Where’s your servant today, Diego?” asked King Vegeta, “He usually tags along with you here.”

“Oh,” said Diego, “I’m giving him a day off. He seemed sick when I saw him last and so I told him to just rest today.”

“You shouldn’t be too soft on the boy,” said King Vegeta, “He’ll never be a good servant like that.”

Diego looked at his father and saw he had his eyes narrowed at him. What? Diego said telepathically to Vegeta.

Sick? Vegeta responded him back in his mind.

She was very exhausted, so I let her sleep.

Suddenly the servants began to bring the breakfast in. Diego then noticed Truce’s empty chair and said, “Where’s Truce this morning?”

“Probably still asleep,” said Vegeta. His eyes then widened as he saw Nicole helping with the breakfast plates.

King Vegeta spotted ‘Dimitri’ as well. He laughed and said, “It looks like your servant isn’t too sick to still do his duties.”

“What?” said Diego, as he looked at Nicole as she placed his plate of food in front of him. She couldn’t help but grin a little at the surprise in his eyes. Why didn’t you stay in bed? he asked her telepathically.

I’m tougher than you think, replied Nicole, Besides, I will not appear weak here.

But your body, isn’t it tired?

Yes, and sore, but I’ll manage.

“Feeling better, boy?” asked King Vegeta to Nicole.

Nicole smiled and said in her boyish voice, “Tip-top shape, your majesty.”

“Good,” said King Vegeta, “Dimitri, right? I need you to take Truce’s breakfast to her room, since she obviously isn’t coming this morning.”

“Yes, your majesty.” Nicole then bowed and retrieved a tray of food to take to Truce’s room.
